Our Director
Brenda Meyer is an Alter High School graduate and holds a Bachelors Degree
in Child Development from Ohio State University. Mrs. Meyer has been in the
childcare industry for over fifteen years. She has been the director at Wenzler Day Care
and Learning Center since December 2004. Brenda resides in Kettering
with her husband Tom and their three boys, Tommy, Connor and Nolan,
who attend St. Albert the Great school.
Brenda has taken the daycare to a higher standard incorporating the
high scope curriculum with the state of Ohio Early Learning content Standards
and the Infant Toddler Guidelines. She values each child as an individual
and wants to always maintain the "family" atmosphere that Wenzler Day Care provides. Brenda is happy to be a part of a daycare that recognizes that the first five years
of development are the most important in a child's life. She believes security
and learning go hand in hand and ensures that the chidren who attend
Wenzler Day Care and Learning Center receive both.
Assistant Director
Courtney Hedrick is from West Virginia and graduated from Tucker County High School.
She received her Bachelor's in Elementary Education from West Liberty State College
in 2006 and is currently pursing her Master's in Elementary Math at Marygrove College.
She has four year's experience working with children in daycare and
public school settings. She has worked with Wenzler since June of 2008
as a school-age teacher, sub and most recently the assistant director.
She enjoys being a part of a caring and educational enviroment.
